We are a group of individuals who support research and scholarship both outside and inside institutions of higher education and are interested in intellectual inquiry. See our website at mnindependentscholars.org.

Our study meetings are for people interested in lacanian psychoanalysis. Through readings we will discuss the concepts of Jacques Lacan's teaching, and how it approaches the questions of the post-modern world. Prior knowledge of psychoanalysis is not required. Meetings held twice a month - location to be advised.

Closed to new members  Interested people can sign up for the waiting list but will not be approving new membership at this time. We are at room and discussion capacity for our committed members. Group description - interact with seasoned readers that think real life is more interesting than fiction: history, biographies, real life journalistic books, behavorial sciences, etc. 2nd Wednesday of the month.
