We're a very laid-back group of people who love to read. Come to the meetings to discuss great literature, make new friends, and laugh! Our meetings are very informal. Even if you aren't able to read/finish each book, come anyway!

Journey is an African American fiction book club for African American women in their 20's and 30's. Each month, a different member will select a book, host the event, and lead the discussion. Meetings take place every month at homes, restaurants, libraries, coffee shops, or other agreed upon locations. The mission of Journey is to provide a safe environment for shared dialogue which will inspire intellectual, spiritual, and emotional growth through literature. Membership is FREE!

This is a group for adults interested in creative writing and would like to engage with others to network, share works, obtain feedback as well as learn and grow from each other's experiences. All skill levels and creative genres are welcome to join and participate. I started this group because of the lack of local writer's clubs in the immediate area.

This book club is a space for feminists to openly exchange ideas about feminism, classism, racism etc. and critique literature relating to those topics. The Detroit Grassroots Atheism Project (DGAP) has the primary goal of raising awareness about atheism and atheists through direct interaction with the public that we call "street teaching". Project volunteers provide literature and a point of contact between the public and the atheist community. Through this interaction we clear up the common and uncommon misunderstandings about atheism and inform people about what is atheism.
