This is a group for all who are interested in the philosophy, literature, culture and art of Ancient Rome and Greece. We will discuss and share any of the above at our meetings, which will occur in Westchester County or Manhattan. No credentials necessary -- just an interest in these topics and an idea --however vague - of what you would like to discuss or want to know more about.
I started this group because I love to read Sci-Fi and Fantasy books, but I rarely have anyone to discuss them with. I've only been in CT for a few months, and I would love to meet like-minded individuals that I can have fun with and also share my love for the fantastical.
Raw Food Central became a vision of founder Curtis Griffing over 30 years ago when he overcame a severe case of rheumatoid arthritis by adopting a 100% raw food diet and lifestyle. Doctors gave him no hope for a cure and promised him a future with artificial joints. "A lot of suffering was endured until I came across the truth about raw food along with a healthful lifestyle". Curtis continues to enjoy a 100% raw food diet and wouldn't have it any other way. Curtis was mentored by some of the bes …

Once upon a last week, two recent graduates decided they wanted to read something other than romance novels for a change (or not...). So we're starting this group in hopes of finding other people with a passion for reading, and a willingness to embark upon a most ambitious quest: to read as many of the "top 100 novels" as we possible can. However we don't want to limit ourselves to just those - we hope to explore, examine, and be entertained by all different types of genres. There is no limi …

Remember all those great books that were forced down our throats in High School? Do you remember them with fond memories? No, of course not. We were all too young with other priorities to fully appreciate them. This is a book group that aims to remedy that by revisiting all the great classics. Books like The Great Gatsby, Moby Dick, Crime and Punishment, Wuthering Heights, and many many more. This is not high school, there will be no tests or forced questions, just book lovers and casual discuss …

All are encouraged to suggest books and restaurants and to take turns leading the discussions. September Book: The Imperfectioni …
All the book clubs I've seen have been for moms or people over 35. I'm 24 and I wanted to meet other book-lovers around my age in the area. Encompassing a wide variety of genres and authors from children's books to classics we'll aim to read a new book every three weeks or so. We'll meet to discuss the books in a relaxed informal environment. Even though we're a 35 and younger meetup group if you're an older person wanting to read more youthful books, I would be willing to make exceptions. Pleas …

We will meet once week or bi monthly depending on the ability of the members of the group to make a serious commitment to that time period. Lets get to know each other, what we think, what we do, and of course …

Greetings. This group is inspired by the the idea (and hope) of consciously evolving the human species through the creation and dissemination of evolutionary memes dealing with art, philosophy, literature, science, as well as many other fields and areas. With the advent of the millennium it has become quite clear that the traditional institutions and power structures are inadequate in providing an evolutionary path for the species that maximizes happiness and reflects our true capacities and wis …

I love to write. I know there are other people who love to write along the shoreline area too. Let's get together to explore our creative souls and support each other through this sometimes lonely process. All skill levels are welcome. Please bring enough copies to share with the group. I am looking forward to meeting new writers and learning about their creative methods.

This is a group for anyone interested in the work of Neale Donald Walsch and his Conversations with God books. I've read many different authors (and still do) yet something keeps drawing me back to CwG. Maybe it's the way Neale asks the questions I always wanted to ask yet had no one to ask them of... Perhaps it's the way he makes it all seem so doable, so grounded. I appreciate the way Neale makes his concepts so truly useful to daily life. I'd love to have a group of people who wish to explore …
